The story of one book
Marcus wants to write his memoir.
Here's how a ghostwriting company runs his book in VEXEN, from the ad he clicked to the profit it made. Seven steps, one system.
-
1Website chat
It starts with an ad and a chat.
Marcus clicks a Google Ads ad for Larkfield Memoirs, one of Larkfield Books' brands, and asks a question in the chat on its landing page. The widget takes one line of code on each brand's site.

2Lead
The chat becomes a lead, filed under the right brand.
VEXEN creates the lead with its brand and source, attaches the chat and hands it to a front seller. Leads from Meta and Google Ads land the same way, so nobody copies rows out of an ad sheet.
- Lead brands
- Google Ads and Meta sources

3Converted
Front sale converted. Then the upsell.
Rhea calls, sends the quote and Marcus accepts: that's the front sale. A week later Tom on the upsell team adds cover design and formatting. Both sales sit on the same client, each with its own seller.
- Front sales
- Upsells by a second seller

4Production
Writing, editing, cover, formatting, publishing.
The sale becomes a production project, with every stage and its owner on one board. The ghostwriter sees their chapters, the designer sees the cover, and the office sees where every book is.

5Author review
Marcus reviews his chapters in his author portal.
He reads the chapters, approves them or asks for revisions, looks at the cover concepts and messages his writer. He only sees his own book.

6Commission
Front seller and upsell seller, both worked out.
Rhea earns on the front sale and Tom on the upsell, each at their own rate. VEXEN calculates both the moment each sale lands. No end-of-month spreadsheet, no arguments about who sold what.
- Commission per seller

7Profit
And you see what the book really made.
The sales, the writer, editor and designer costs, and the commissions come together into one number: the profit on Marcus's book. Then the next lead comes in.
